Just under 90% of women have some form of cellulite, and the vast majority of them are always looking for a viable solution for it. However, if you are one of those women then it easy to feel like you are on your own. After all, very few women can look at someone else is cellulite and compare it with their own objectively. We all make it out to be bigger than it is in our minds, and this is where we fall down. We let our cellulite take over.
The one thing it is important to remember though is that having cellulite is completely normal. In fact, those women that do not have cellulite are the ones that are not normal! A little cellulite body is absolutely nothing to worry about at all because it makes us feminine.
Our mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers all had it so it is not a new problem. A cellulite body has only just become a big deal as a direct result of the perfect body image that as begun to filter around in the media. Supermodels and stick thin actresses are considered to be beautiful, but they do not have curves and so are not womanly or feminine. The former may appear to be preferable to the latter but it really is not in reality!
Cellulite Facts
If the pep talk about the cellulite image above did not work then maybe a few cellulite facts will. These facts will help you to see that there are millions of other women with the same cellulite problem as you and thus you are anything but the odd one out!
1. It is suspected that the emergence of cellulite in women has something to do with the hormones because it is 90% of post-pubescent females that have it.
2. There are a number of things that could help to keep cellulite at bay, but being stick thin is not one of them. Even the skinniest women may still have a little cellulite. You need to look beyond the airbrushing.
3. The composition of fat cells and connective tissue causes orange peel skin. The connective tissue constricts the cells and forces the dimpled appearance on the surface. It is nothing to do with being fat as a result. Having a few extra pounds can make it appear worse, but it would still be there anyway.
All of the above is not to say that there is not hope for the cellulite body because there is, but having cellulite is completely 100% normal. You are just like the next female if you have it, so do not let it sap your confidence. Just do something about it!
