Like many of the cellulite myths out there, women everywhere are far from gullible, but there are some things that they cannot help believing. Many myths about cellulite are everywhere and have been passed down from generation to generation to the point at which they finally become truths.
Well, at least in the minds of women they do anyway. Unfortunately, these myths will do little to help you to get rid of your cellulite or even bring it under control because they are not cellulite facts.
The only way to achieve cellulite reduction is to get your facts straight and now is as good a time as any to do that. After all, why wait to find out how you could reduce your orange peel when you could dispel the myths right now?
Myth 1 – Only Overweight Women Suffer From Cellulite
This of all of the cellulite myths is the most ridiculous. There are many cellulite causes but being overweight is not one of them. Sure, being overweight can make your cellulite worse and put you at risk of an infection but it will not actually cause your cellulite to begin with.
Similarly, you do not have to be overweight to have it. Around 90% of women have cellulite and many of them are not overweight. However, they do have the same hormones coursing through their body and the same layer of subcutaneous fat under the skin. It has more to do with being a woman than being overweight!
Myth 2 – Eating Chocolate Makes Cellulite Worse
Chocolate will not make your cellulite worse! Neither will it give you spots or any of the other things it is supposed to cause! There is nothing wrong with having a little chocolate from time to time because it releases endorphins in your brain, which will make you happy.
This will give you a little boost and make you feel better in yourself and give you a better body image. It can therefore actually be a good tool to use when it comes to improving your cellulite in a way. However, you should only eat a little every now and again because a healthy diet is one of the best ways to achieve cellulite reduction. Plenty of fruit and vegetables is definitely the way forward!
Myth 3 – The Only Way To Get Rid Of Cellulite Is To Have Plastic Surgery
This of the cellulite myths is just plain ridiculous. Plastic surgery may indeed offer a cellulite solution for you if you want results fast, especially if you opt for liposuction to remove the excess fat.
However, the results are not permanent and the surgery is extremely invasive and risky. People have died from having it in the past. A healthy diet and exercise is more likely to ensure that your cellulite reduction is more permanent than a quick fix.
Cellulite Myth 4 – Expensive Cellulite Creams Work
This final one of the cellulite myths is complete and utter rubbish as well. Some of the most expensive creams on the market do not work when a cheap anti-cellulite cream might.
Although some of them are very effective and price does usually guarantee better results, no cream is guaranteed to work. Your best bet is to do a little research and find out what has worked for other women rather than relying on price as a good guide.
