Is Liposuction Worth It?

cellulite surgery

Cellulite surgery is one of the ever-expanding list of cellulite cures. It is actually one of the most well knowncellulite reduction solutions that there is. Every woman has heard of liposuction and has also probably considered having it as well, if they had the money of course. After all, liposuction and other forms of surgery may seem much more appealing that various other cellulite cures in theory, but is it so in reality?

The only way to work out whether surgery is a viable cellulite treatment for you is to compare it with other forms of cellulite therapy. As such, you need to figure out the pros and cons of liposuction. I have listed the comparision below for you. The information present should give you an idea of whether surgery like specifically liposuction, is viable for you.

The Pros

As always, we shall start with the positive first:

  • It is a great short-term fix

  • Liposuction is a fantastic short-term fix. The results are visible immediately in terms of cellulite reduction and will last for a number of months. As such, it acts much more quickly than any gel, cream or lotion could ever do. If you have a big event to go to and do not have the time to use creams and diet, for example, the liposuction might just be the thing for you.

  • It is a quick way of getting rid of the fat

  • Who needs the long hard road to thin when you can just have all the fat sucked out of you? It is most definitely the easy way to lose those excess pounds and the excess fat, which will of course take your cellulite with it. That is the whole point of cellulite surgery.

  • You can get smoother thighs in a matter of a few hours

  • As soon as your thighs settle back into their new, leaner shape, your thighs will be much smoother than they were before! Luscious legs, here you come.

    The Cons

  • It is painful

  • So now you know the upside of cellulite surgery and what it could do for you in terms of sucking the fat away, you may understandwhy it is extremely painful as well! If you think about it, having fat removed from your legs quickly will upset the tissue and matter left behind. This can lead to bruising, scarring and extreme pain. Do not expect to sit down without wincing for at least a couple of weeks.

  • It is invasive

  • This is one of the most negative aspects of the cellulite cure. Having a tube stuck in your leg is obviously invasive and can cause all sorts of infections and inflammation. This can be extremely detrimental to your health and it has actually been known to kill people.

  • It can be extremely expensive

You are looking at a bill in the thousands if you do decide to opt for cellulite surgery. Considering that the effects do not last forever, this is an awful lot of money to find. There are cheaper ways to get rid of cellulite, even if they do take a little time!
